Lonbraz Kann

Responsable Figuration (extras/background actors manager) for the Mauritian feature film Lonbraz Kann (Sugarcane Shadows), directed by David Constantin. Released in 2014, the 88-minute film follows the closing of a sugar factory and its impact on the local community as workers' houses are demolished for upscale residences. The film premiered at the Festival International du Film d'Afrique et des Iles in Reunion and screened at numerous international festivals including the Zanzibar International Film Festival and Seattle International Film Festival. It won Best Screenplay at the 2015 Durban International Film Festival and two awards at the 2015 Africa Movie Academy Awards.
